In line with its innovative approach to surveying, EGS has recently launched its wholly-owned company C-Products. This company specialises in selling a novel range of marine surveying equipment including:

C - View,a specially developed  Seabed  Data Management Package (SDMP) for acquisition, processing and charting seabed geology and morphology.
C - Boom, a revolutionary new Low Voltage Boomer System for acquiring nearshore geophysical data.

The in-house development of the comprehensive C-View SDMP has helped our onboard geoscientists provide a detailed draft final chart to the onboard client representative typically within 24 hours of data acquisition. So much so that we soon realised the systems vast potential and are now offering it to the global survey market.

C-View is an IBM compatible PC windows based system that not only acquires side-scan sonar, sub-bottom profiling and bathymetry data but also has an advanced data processing ability including:

• Swath bathymetry
• pipeline inspection
• side scan sonar mosaicing and
• Autocad tool interfaces

We also recognise that the end products of marine surveying, including databases and charts are best housed within a GIS environment and as such are actively developing this ideal within the C-View environment.

C-Boom is a unique Low Voltage Boomer that provides all the benefits of standard Boomer technology whilst providing the additional factor of safety (and cost-effectiveness) by cutting out the traditional power supply units or 'bang boxes' that are typically large and heavy and capable of generating up to 5000 volts. This enables C-Boom to be routinely used in inshore operations off small vessels.
