(Asia) Ltd. has been awarded a contract by Toke Oil&Gas
SA in partnership with the State Secretariat for Natural
Resources of the Government of Timor-Leste and Bathymetric
Survey Consortium partners to carry out a bathymetric survey
covering the entire East Timorese southern offshore area.

Ridley
Thomas, the specialized ship equipped with high accuracy
sonars for this operation, finished the survey between Sydney
and the Passe de Boulari, which is the
point
entrance of the cable to the New Calendonia lagoon. It currently
continues its mission by the mapping of the seabed between
the Grand Terre and the Loyalty Islands, since it is envisaged
to also connect Lifou and Ouvéa to the cable starting
from Poindimié. More

EGS’s
newly converted survey vessel the RV
“Ridley Thomas” left Singapore
on the 3rd May on its inaugural voyage. The work for Alcatel
Submarine Networks was to conduct survey
and geotechnical activities on a Submarine Cable System
off the Maldives, Iran, India & Sudan.
