Suspended Sediment Measurements in Hong Kong
Abstract
Plumes of suspended sediments created during dredging and dredged material disposal operations have been extensively monitored in Hong Kong. Several techniques have been used including acoustic methods based on the use of ADCPs. The measurements have provided valuable data on plume generation and decay and on the primary effects of such operations on the marine environment.
