With
more than 30 years experience working as a geophysicist, Dave joined EGS
as a Director in 1977. Prior to joining EGS Dave was Chief Geophysicist
with Wimpey Laboratories, and started his career by spending four years
working for the Airborne Division of the Bureau of Mineral Resources in
Australia.
Based at the EGS offices near Farnham, Surrey, Dave has been responsible
for the initiation, execution, interpretation and reporting on many engineering
geophysical studies and investigations in most parts of the world.
Dave's wide-ranging experience extends beyond his principle discipline
of geophysics, into the fields of hydrographic surveying and oceanography.
Dave is a very skillful computer programmer and has been responsible for
the writing and development of numerous software programs for EGS, including
vessel navigation, electrical resistivity, gravity, seismic reflection
and refraction interpretation.
Dave gained Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University
of Leeds, and a Master of Science degree in Geophysics from Imperial College,
London.
