Chris Welsh

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering Geology and Geotechnics, Chris worked for 5 years as a geotechnical engineer in the UK, Australia and Papua New Guinea. During this period Chris gained experience in the fields of site investigation, geotechnical design and slope stability.

Following the completion of a Master of Science Degree in Applied Geophysics at the University of Birmingham, Chris joined EGS in 1991, he initially specialized in managing various land and marine engineering geophysical survey operations in the Asia region, before expanded the Companies operations into the utilities, water and sewerage industries. In 1996 Chris managed the Companies first major telecommunications survey project, SMW3, since then Chris has been involved in all of the Companies offshore survey projects as either Project manager or Project Director.

Chris is a member of the Executive Board of the EGS Group, with specific responsibilities for the Offshore Survey business group, in addition to the group responsibilities Chris is also Commissioner PT EGS Survey (Indonesia), Director EGS Survey (Australia), Chairman EGS International (UK) and Director Ho Choi Marine (ship management).
