  • SAIPEM (Asia) Sdn. Bhd., New Offshore Crude Oil Unloading Facilities, Thailand (2006-2008)

    EGS have been contracted by Saipem for pre-engineering survey, pre-lay survey and marine survey and positioning services to support the installation of an SBM and export pipeline for the New Offshore Crude Oil Unloading Facilities Project for Thai Oil Public Company Ltd., Thailand. The installation was divided into 2 phases. The first phase, took place between April and June 2007, included the installation of the 14km long pipeline, 6 CALM anchors and the PLEM. EGS provided the equipment and personnel to support the required positioning and surveying services onboard the following vessels:

  • The second phase, took place between December 2007 and February 2008, included the connection of the SPM buoy to the PLEM and the 6 CALM anchors using a derrick barge IBIS and an anchor handling tug ENA Monarch.

  • ROV Trencher TST 208 onboard DPSV Toisa Mariner

    EGS have been appointed by Canyon Offshore as a survey subcontractor to provide survey and positioning support for the ROV and PLIB operations. The work included the trenching operation of a main umbilical to a depth of 0.5m along a 18km long route using an ROV Trencher TST208 from DPSV Toisa Mariner Upon the completion of the trenching operation, a post-trenching survey was carried out using the same ROV equipment with a TSS340 cable tracking system to confirm the burial depth.
