A18 – B17 GAS PIPELINE PROJECT (Gulf of Thailand)
(2005)
Bechtel International Inc. commissioned EGS (Asia) Ltd to
undertake the geophysical and geotechnical survey work for
a 42” gas pipeline linking the southern end of the
proposed Third Transmission Pipeline Project (TTPP) in block
B17 of the JDA (near the proposed Muda platforms) with the
Cakerawala R platform CKR in Block A18 of the JDA, near
the Thai/Malaysian border. The survey for the 50km long
pipeline also included a detailed site survey centered on

GAS PIPELINE SURVEY (Papua New Guinea – Australia)
(2005)
EOS Joint Venture, on behalf of ExxonMobil and APC, appointed
EGS Survey Pty Ltd (EGS) to carry out a Pipeline Route Survey
and Geotechnical Survey to confirm the viability of the

WEIPA
TO GOVE SUBMARINE GAS PIPELINE (Australia) (2005)
J P Kenny (JPK) (Chief Consultants on behalf of the
AGL Petronas Consortium) appointed EGS Survey Pty Ltd (EGS)
to perform a marine Pipeline Route Survey of approximately
520km. The primary objective of the route survey activities
was to provide data to confirm the viability of the route
for the pipeline. A Complete Pipeline Route Study, Integrated
Pipeline Route Survey and Geotechnical Survey was undertaken
by EGS. EGS utilized the vessel MV Samson explorer for this
project to complete 6 months continuous survey operations,
including the PNG Gas Pipeline Survey.
PLUTO
Deepwater AUV Geophysical Survey (Australia) (2005/2006)
EGS (Asia) Ltd (EGS) was appointed to supply Geophysical
and Survey support services to Geoconsult of Norway for
the PLUTO Deep Water AUV Geophysical Survey of water depths
between 200 and 1200m. The Pluto Field is situated approximately
185km North West of Dampier, Western Australia. Survey operations
were undertaken on the vessel SV Geosea and utilized a Geoconsult
AUV with multibeam, chirp and SSS capabilities. The EGS
in-house software package C-View was used for Seabed Data
Management and generation of SSS Mosaics.
Pilbara
LNG Inshore Geophysical Survey (Western Australia) (2005)
BHP Billiton Petroleum contracted EGS Survey Pty Ltd (EGS)
to undertake a detailed geophysical survey and preliminary
geotechnical study. The survey was undertaken to facilitate
the design of infrastructure to enable offshore to onshore
Natural Gas transportation/transfer.Detail

Shelf Sidescan Sonar Geophysical Survey (Australia) (2005)
EGS (Asia) Ltd was contracted by Woodside Energy Limited
to perform the 2005 Annual SSS Survey of the 325km North
West Shelf Pipeline System. The subsea inspection program
involved an initial sidescan sonar survey to identify significant
damage or signs of pipeline movement, to determine pipeline
burial depths and to identify any regional or local seabed
changes.
MALAMPAYA
GAS EXPORT PIPELINE (Philippines) (2005)
EGS (Asia) Ltd was contracted by Covus Corporation to provide
expert surveying services and navigation/positional support
during the ROV inspection of the Malampaya Gas Export Pipeline.
Dung
Quat Refinery Inshore Geophysical Survey (2005) (Vietnam)
As part of a major infrastructure development which also
includes a new port and pipeline at the Dung Quat Refinery,
Vietnam, PTSC commissioned EGS (Vietnam) Ltd to undertake
a fully integrated Geophysical Survey of the site. The investigation
included a pipeline route survey, two high resolution SSS,
Bathymetric and Boomer site surveys, Magnetometer survey
and Sediment Sampling.
Shenzhen

Monitoring (Hong Kong - China) (2005)

Asia contracted EGS (Asia) Ltd to undertake a series of
Hydrographic and Geophysical surveys throughout the installation
process of twin 30km Submarine Pipelines linking Shenzen
(Peoples Republic of China) and Tai Po (Hong Kong).

Lamma
to Shenzen Gas Pipeline Marine Survey and Monitoring (Hong
Kong-China) (2004-2005)
EGS (Asia) Limited was contracted by Seipem Asia to undertake
a series of Hydrographic and Geophysical surveys throughout
the installation process of a 90km long Submarine Gas Pipeline
between Lamma (Hong Kong SAR) and Shenzen (PRC).
Pre-engineering
Geophysical Surveys (including ROV cable burial depth survey
support) were undertaken by EGS in 2004. A full post-installation
survey was conducted by EGS in 2005 to evaluate as-laid
burial depths throughout the Pipeline Route.
