Leighton Asia contracted EGS (Asia) Ltd to undertake a series of Hydrographic and Geophysical surveys throughout the installation process of twin 30km Submarine Pipelines linking Shenzen (Peoples Republic of China) and Tai Po (Hong Kong).

Surveys were performed at the following key stages of installation: Pre-commencement, post-dredging, post-installation, post-back-filling and verification. Various survey methods were utilized including Side Scan Sonar, Sub-Bottom Profiling, Magnetometer and Multibeam Swath Bathymetry.

EGS utilized the inshore vessel MV Wing Hung 2 for survey operations during the Shenzhen to Tai Po Twin Submarine Gas Pipelines Marine Survey and Monitoring
