vessel based in the Philippines. It is an ice class
ship capable of stable operations in extreme conditions.
This survey vessel is equipped with deeptow winches
capable of towing a side scan sonar in water depth greater
than 3000m.

The Baruna Jaya VIII is a 53.2m long
survey vessel strategically based in Jakarta near the
offshore North West Java oil fields. The BJ8 is fitted
with state of the art survey equipment including a Simrad
EM1002 multibeam echo sounder. It can also be used for
2D HiRes, 2D Ultra HiRes, and Pseudo 3D Seismic surveys.
