Increasing technological developments linked with increased funding have meant that offshore projects are encompassing more of the ocean's "Blue Water" environments. Whether this be increased ploughing depths to in excess of 1,000m for submarine cable installations, or deep oil/gas drilling programs, EGS is well placed to provide surveying solutions for this environment.

High capital expenditure associated with these projects calls for tight project turnaround times. With ever decreasing project lead times, EGS recognises the need for timely reporting. Our response to this need is to integrate the high quality surveying data acquisition with complete data processing and charting facilities on our survey vessels, so that near-real time reporting can be carried out onboard. Draft charts are typically presented to the onboard client within 24 hours of surveying the block. Our aim is to produce a draft final report as the survey vessel returns to port at the end of the survey.
