EGS Group has been awarded a 4 year extension to its existing offshore geophysical contract with Chevron Thailand Exploration & Production, Ltd. The contract includes the provision of bathymetric and geophysical survey services and positioning services in the Gulf of Thailand. The first survey campaign under this contract extension was successfully completed in June 2020 despite the current difficulties of working during the COVID-19 pandemic. EGS will continue to support Chevron’s offshore development program with high quality geophysical survey services through to 2024.
EGS were first awarded this contract in 2013 and to-date have successfully completed about thirty survey campaigns each delivering high quality survey data to Chevrons team of in-house geophysical and survey specialists for engineering analysis, project maintenance and planning.
EGS’s Project Manager, Bell Chan stated that he was delighted to be continuing the long term working relationship with Chevron for further four years.
