At the end of September, EGS moved to its new headquarters at Loyang Offshore Supply Base in Singapore.

With the growth of the offshore renewables and telecommunications market in Asia, EGS’s activities have increased steadily over the last few years which have led to an uptake in new permanent hires at all levels within the company. The recruitment drive necessitated to move to a larger office to accommodate the current team and to allow for future expansion.

In addition, the new headquarters are now hosting a state-of-the-art data center that serves as EGS’s main data repository for offshore windfarm and telecommunication projects in Asia and globally, respectively. The new data center is operated according to international standards for cyber-security with the aim to be accredited by Q4 2022.

Singapore was chosen as the preferred location for a secured data center due to its strategic regional positioning, reliable connectivity and stable governance making the island nation one of the best place in Asia for such facilities.

The addition of the data center will further increase EGS’s capabilities for remote processing thus enabling faster turn around time for data delivery and reducing exposure to non-essential personnel on offshore operations.
