Our global offices and vessels are regularly audited by independent accredited certification bodies and world leading Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Utilities companies. Health, Safety and Environment Policy

EGS recognise that people are vital to maintaining our hard-won reputation of the company. It is our belief that the key to a safe and healthy workplace stems from the hearts and minds of all individuals working for the organisation. Our expectations are that everybody working for us will adhere to our high standards of health and safety management in the workplace, this included whilst they are travelling, and in the services, they are delivering to our customers.

We believe that we also have a responsibility to the environment beyond legal and regulatory requirements. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact where reasonably practicable, by setting targets and objectives to ensure that we continuously improve on our performance making it an integral part of our business strategy and operating methodology. We actively encourage clients, suppliers and other interested parties to do the same.

The Leadership Team of EGS regards health and safety at work and protection of our environment as a matter of the highest priority but we understand it may not be possible to ensure a totally hazard-free environment. Therefore, our statement of general policy is to, so far as reasonably practicable will ensure that practical measures are taken to:

  • Prevent injury, ill health, for all personnel effected by EGS operations;
  • Comply with relevant statutory and contractual Health, Safety Environmental requirements;
  • Effectively manage hazards and risks and continually monitor and improve the management of hazards and risks;

  • Seek to reduce consumption of materials in all operations, re-use rather than dispose whenever possible, and promote recycling and the use of recycled materials;
  • Maintain the highest level of integrity with our clients, government officials and the public in addressing environmental concerns, being especially diligent in recognising that trust is difficult to build but easy to shatter;
  • Undertake inspections, audits and review of activities to ensure the Company’s objectives for Health, Safety the Environment targets are being achieved;

Some aspects of our activities are subject to specific laws or regulations, with which we shall comply fully. Moreover, we shall go beyond the requirements of compliance and endeavour to use the best practical environmental standards and procedures even in the absence of any legal requirements. Accountability for the successful implementation of the HSEQ management system, including all policies, resides with Leadership Team. All employees, however, are responsible for performing their duties according to the HSEQ management system principles and policies.

Quality Policy

EGS provides high quality measurement services based on efficient and cost effective geophysical, hydrographic, oceanographic and other maritime survey services. The company’s goal is to provide surveys, to the highest standards, while meeting the requirements and exceeding the expectations of our clients. To achieve this goal, we are committed to implementing, maintaining and continually improving and assessing operational systems and processes. We firmly believe in the concept of customers and suppliers working together in pursuit of a continuous improving working environment to ensure a high quality of service is maintained. The Quality Policy is based on 3 fundamental principles:

  1. Ensuring that we fully identify and conform to the needs of our customers;
  2. Look at our service provision processes, identifying the potential for errors and taking the necessary actions to eliminate them;
  3. Ensure everyone has the competence to do their job and do it right first time.

The Leadership Team regards the quality of our product and services as one of our core values and will ensure that practical measures are taken to:

  • Ensure the structure of our management system meets the requirements of BS ENISO 9001 standards;
  • Communicate throughout the organisation the importance of meeting customer needs and all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements;
  • Assign designated personal to ensure the management system effectiveness on behalf of the Leadership Team;
  • Actively engage with our employees to ensure effective communications and training is delivered so they fully understanding the requirements of the management system and know how to use it;
  • Continuously strive for improvement in the quality of our products and services delivered to our customers.

Accountability for the successful implementation of quality management systems, resides with Leadership Team. All employees, however, are responsible for performing their duties according to the quality principles and policies established by EGS.
