Health, Safety and Environment Policy

The management of EGS regards health and safety at work and protection of our environment as a matter of the highest priority and will ensure that practical measures are taken to:

  • Prevent injury, ill health, damage to property for all personnel and involved in EGS operations.
    Effectively manage hazards and risks and continually monitor and improve the management of hazards and risks.
  • Minimise damaging effects of EGS operations to the environment.
  • Compliance with local legislation, regulation and standards
    Comply with relevant statutory and contractual health and safety requirements
    Comply with relevant statutory and contractual environmental requirements

    Provide trained, experienced and competent management and supervision
  • Communication
    Establish and maintain effective communication and joint consultation on health and safety matters with all relevant parties involved in the project works.

    Promote continual improvement of the EGS QHSE Management System
    Set measurable objectives and targets for HSE performance and promote successful achievement of those targets
  • Adhere to Management System
    o Implement an integrated QHSE management system so that the best HSE practices are always considered for ALL EGS processes – EGS shall operate in compliance with the standards set out in OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001 and AS/NZS 4801. All employees shall adhere to the requirements of the HSE system.

It is the policy of EGS to plan and conduct operations according to sound environmental principles. The work brings EGS staff into daily contact with the Earth’s resources and ecosystems, including areas of high environmental value and sensitivity. The policy is to strive to minimise any impact, with the target of zero long-term impact.

Some aspects of EGS activities are subject to specific laws or regulations, with which we shall comply fully. Moreover we shall go beyond the requirements of compliance and endeavor to use the best practical environmental standards and procedures even in the absence of any legal requirements.

Accountability for the successful implementation of the QHSE management system, including all policies, resides with senior management. All employees, however, are responsible for performing their duties according to the QHSE management system principles and policies.

Quality Policy

The management of EGS regards the quality of our product and services as a matter of the highest importance and will ensure that practical measures are taken to:

Implement and Operate a QMS system – EGS shall operate in compliance with the standards set out in ISO9001:2008. All employees shall adhere to the requirements of the Quality system.

Communication and Training – The company shall engage employees and ensure adequate communications and training of employees such that all employees have a full understanding of the Quality Management system and know how to use it.

Continual Improvement – EGS shall continuously strive for improvement in the quality of our products and services as delivered to our clients. EGS will also strive to improve the effectiveness of its Management System.

Accountability for the successful implementation of quality management, resides with senior management. All employees, however, are responsible for performing their duties according to the quality principles and policies established by EGS.

This policy is a key element of the EGS Management System and applies to all EGS management, employees, contractors and others associated with EGS Operations.
